An open source tool for cleaning, validating, and documenting the CIM UML.   Developed as a replacement for the CIMinEA tool.

Developed by Tatjana Kostic.

Very useful for validation and seen as the primary method of creating Microsoft Word detailed model documenation for documents such as is done for IEC 61970-301.

Main features (seperately selectable):

- validates model for various common issues.   Includes validation for package dependencies as prescribed by TC57.
- cleans up various common mistakes in the UML model
- creates documentation of UML artifacts in Microsoft Word documents with special keyword replacement.
- developed in Java within Eclipse, complete source code and documenation available on this site in "Tools WG documents"

Installation note:   The installation files posted for version 01v01 (and probably 01v00) are to be unzipped into regular folders then import the files as an eclipse project.   Don't import the project as an archive directly into eclipse.   Tatjana may change this for future versions to be consistent with the way CIMTool packages things.   Looks like Tatjana already documented this in the readme.   Tatjana has made it pretty easy.   Its free, its easy, and its well supported.  No excuses to not validate that UML!
